| Fairway Products was founded
in 1998 by Jack Rigby. The first product was a portable mat to be
carried around the course by golfers in the winter months. All shots
were to be played by placing the ball on those mats so preventing
divots. It was patented in January 1999 and called “MultiMat™”.
The Front Bedroom of the founders house became the first workshop.
One year later a tiny workshop was rented followed by a larger
workshop a year later.
In 2001 the first Flag Pin was manufactured followed by Flags,
Hole Cups, Bunker Rakes etc.
The workshop again became too small and we moved to our present
larger premises in 2004 at this time, the founders nephew Jason
Straccia purchased a majority shareholding, and has established
Fairway Products as one of the leading suppliers of golf course
equipment in the UK. Further expansion is planned into other sectors,
with major distribution agreements in the pipeline.
The policy of Fairway Products “High in Quality –
Low in Price” has paid off – with over 500 Golf Clubs
on the books at the latest count.
